General Capital Investments is a boutique investment fund with a focus on the acquisition of lower middle-market businesses where management would like to become co-owners as part of the buying group. Targeted companies have cash flow (adjusted EBITDA) below $2 million and greater than $500,000. Enterprise values are typically between $2 and $10 million. GCI has over $10 million in committed capital for acquisitions.
Investments are structured as stand-alone businesses with equity in each company owned by GCI and the business’s key management. GCI serves as the financial partner and management runs business operations. GCI is a long-term investor and, unlike other private equity firms, is not required to sell a business after a 3 to 7 year holding period.
GCI encourages the submission of potential acquisitions by intermediaries and can structure a standard buy-side fee arrangement for intermediaries where the seller is not paying the intermediary fee.
